About Me

Hi. My name is Priscilla Pelgen, and this is my virtual family law firm website for men. Thanks for checking me out! I know your busy, so I'll try to keep it short.

I was born in November of 1970 in Chicago, Illinois. I began my journey in the law by becoming a paralegal in 1992. Subsequently, I put myself through undergraduate and law school while raising my own children. Upon returning to my home in Indiana, I began designing, building and organizing my future law firm, The Law Office of Priscilla Pelgen. During this time, I also began thinking about new ways to connect with my clients without forcing them to travel to my office and me to be chained to my building. (I am more of an "outdoors" person.) After researching the benefits and risks of virtual law practice, I fell in love with the concept and the technology. I decided it would be a great tool for me and my clients.

Shortly thereafter, I started helping other professionals and entrepreneurs who were interested in learning how to build or get clients using a web practice, and whether this idea was translatable to their own profession or industry. Originally, I did not charge a fee for coaching. But, before I knew it, the coaching requests grew into their own separate practice area. I named the coaching part of the practice "My Success From Scratch", which can be accessed online at http://www.MySuccessFromScratch.com. My time is divided between practicing law, coaching others, a little bit of community participation, and a little family life. I do get to travel quite a bit, which I love.

I earned my B.S. in Criminal Justice from Indiana University, and my Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As a law student, I held a limited license to practice law in the state of Oklahoma where I externed for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services in the Child Support Enforcement Division. I became admitted and founded my law practice in 2009. I am admitted to practice before all Indiana trial courts, the Indiana Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.

Reminder About My Firm's Communication Policy

My promise to my clients is that while I am working on their case, I do not take inbound phone calls, faxes, or emails. Priscilla Pelgen takes no inbound unscheduled phone calls whatsoever. It makes her much more productive and gets cases resolved quicker. You can always reach one of Priscilla's assistant's at 765-450-5080, and schedule an in-person or phone appointment, usually within 24-48 hours. This is a lot better than the endless game of "phone tag" played by most businesses today. Remember, too, that both the secure client portal and email are checked no more than twice a day. Replies are scheduled into the calendar, in the order received. So, if its really important, don't email--call instead.

About ilawyerindiana

http://www.ilawyerindiana.com is the first virtual law firm in the state of Indiana. My virtual practice provides me and my clients the ability to securely discuss matters online, download and upload documents for review and handle other business transactions in a secure digital environment from anywhere we can access the Internet.

All attorney/client information is encrypted, and a jurisdiction check ensures that your legal matter is within the state of Indiana. A conflict of interest check is run on each prospective client's name when he registers with ilawyerindiana.com. Depending upon the nature of the case and my online interaction with the individual client, I may upload a traditional retainer agreement for them to read through and sign in addition to the required, multiple clickwrap agreements.

Through ilawyerindiana.com, I can reach across the entire state of Indiana to provide practical legal advice, counsel and limited legal services for men in divorce, custody, support, and parenting time (formerly visitation) to those that cannot or do not want to engage traditional services through a "brick and mortar" law office.

iLawyerindiana.com accepts debit cards, Visa, and MasterCard as forms of payment for Limited legal services (also known as "Unbundled Legal Services") purchased through the website. The Law Office of Priscilla Pelgen accepts checks, money orders, debit cards, Visa, and MasterCard as forms of payment for traditional legal services.
